Importing lets you add many contacts at once.
Before You Import
Prepare a CSV file. A CSV file is a spreadsheet saved in a format that the system can read.
Recommended columns:
- first_name
- last_name
- phone
- company
- tags
Before uploading, make sure:
- Every email address is valid.
- Duplicate rows are removed.
- The people in the file agreed to receive your emails.
- You are not using a purchased email list.
Import Subscribers
1. Go to Audience > Lists.
2. Open the list where you want to add the subscribers.
3. Go to Subscribers.
4. Click Import.
5. Upload your CSV file.
6. Match each file column to the correct field in the system.
7. Choose the import settings.
8. Start the import.
9. Wait for the import to finish.
10. If errors appear, download or review the import log.
Common Import Problems
Invalid email means the email address is not in the correct format. Correct the address and import again.
Duplicate email means the email already exists in the list. Depending on your settings, the system may skip it or update the existing subscriber.
Missing required field means a required column or value is missing. Add the missing information and try again.
Large file takes time means the system needs more time to process the file. Leave the page open if instructed, or check the import progress page.
